Impact

In our community, across the US, and abroad, The Basics Movement is building capacity to help children thrive — socially, emotionally, cognitively — starting at birth. Across 50+ communities, multiple types of organizations are committing to The Basics mission and vision. Frontline providers are embedding The Basics Principles into conversations and services for parents, while parents and other caregivers are incorporating The Principles into daily caregiving routines and spreading the word to friends and relatives whose own young children can benefit.

Through our participation in the Basics Learning Network, we are involved in ongoing efforts to expand the reach and impact of The Basics movement, and actively collaborate with member communities in identifying emerging best practices.

In our community, across the US, and abroad, The Basics Movement is building capacity to help children thrive — socially, emotionally, cognitively — starting at birth. Impacts take many forms. Organizations are committing to The Basics mission and vision, frontline providers are building support for The Basics Principles into conversations and services for parents, while parents and other caregivers are embedding The Principles into daily caregiving routines and spreading the word to friends and relatives whose own young children can benefit.

We track and document these impacts through, for example, case studies, annual surveys of frontline staff in participating organizations, and parent surveys embedded into Basics Insights Text messaging.
